Amenities
Ok so we live in Mo- town now and since we are in the process of building our house we are living in this 900 sq ft or less duplex....very cozy....I am so thankful that it is Summer or we would be going totally crazy, not just crazy. We are very social people and LOVE having people over, but since our place is so small we are going in withdraw...again so thankful it is summer
After being in places like Ethiopia and Colombia it really makes you realize how fortunate we are I mean 900 sq ft is HUGE and having running water is a luxury. Don't get me wrong I am still very excited to move into our house, but it totally makes me stop and think about the amenities that we get used to and feel that we can't do without.
One other thing the dishwasher dose not work so my Kitchen looks like this most of the time......

Save Money, Buy Gobena
Here's a way to cut costs and still enjoy superb gourmet, fair trade coffee...
Brew your own cup of Gobena Coffee instead of picking up a latte at Starbucks: save $985 / yr.
A tall latte at the local Starbucks will run you about $3 a cup, or $1,095 a year, if you go there every day. If you brew your own at home for 30 cents or less per cup, you'll pay nearly $110.
(plus Gobena Coffee is 100% Organic)

Little House
As they say...love grows best in little houses with fewer walls to separate...
"Built in 1912, this recently renovated LITTLE HOUSE is a perfect example of how to make the most of small spaces.
This one bedroom, one bathroom home occupies what used to be a driveway and measures 2.2 metres wide, by 34 metres long with under 28 sq metres of living space. This cutie could be yours for only $180,000!"
I thought our duplex we are renting was small, but this brings a fresh perspective, and makes me appreciate what we've got...

Health Challenge Update
Danae:
Goal: 135 lbs
Today: 140 lbs
The weight isn't coming off too fast. I'm okay with that because I feel like I'm getting in better shape. Been working out 3+ days a week, putting on 20+ miles per week on the bike plus working out at Gold's gym.
Steve:
I have conflicting goals, so it's going to be a challenge.
Goal #1: Run 6.2 miles in 37.5 minutes. (So far my fastest run has been 39.5 minutes and it hurt bad. Gotta keep pushing toward my 6 minute per mile goal.)
Goal #2: Weigh 160 lbs or more. (weighed in this morning at 153 lbs) But I'm going to get a large peanut butter malt at Culver's today, so that alone should add a couple pounds.
I've been getting up at 5:30am M-F to work out.
Tues and Thur mornings I run 6.2 miles through Morton.
Mon, Wed, Fri, I lift weights at Gold's (Jeff Kaufman and I are keeping each other accountable).

Update for Gobena Supporters
This is a short interview with Tsion. Tsion is a Christian woman serving as a parent in the Group Home in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She will raise 7-8 orphan children in this home, giving them education, biblical teaching, food, shelter and love. This is what you are supporting by buying Gobena Coffee and spreading the word. God bless you for the great work you are doing...
