I have a random question......How long dose it take you to get to church from your house? I know random, but just wanting to see how far the average person lives from the church they attend.

"Co-Living"

This is a post from my friend Heather today.....I totally agree with her on this and feel that our Country has fallen away from relationships as well and as a result are missing some great blessings.....One of the things about Ethiopia that we loved so much was the strong community that we felt there....what is the saying "it takes a village to raise a child" Oh by the way Heather and Carlos totally opened there house to us, without even knowing us for two day's. What an Awesome example!

What are your thoughts?

Every experience has been different. And yet each of the experiences have confirmed that we love to live with other people. The help, the support, the community is just so worth it! We will continue to do it. I think we live in a world that has fallen away from relationships. I think we have alienated ourselves from each other, which only leaves many of us lonely and overwhelmed. I want my life and my families lives to be as rich as possible. We were blessed to have people welcome us into their home when we needed it and we will do the same for others!

On Larry King Live a few nights ago Steven Curtis Chapman and his family talked about the accident resulting in the death of there daughter Maria.

Eli's Coffeehouse

You can now buy Gobena Coffee at Eli's Coffeehouse in Morton, IL. They sell our 1 poung bags of coffee beans in their store, and they also brew Gobena Coffee as one of their featured coffees on a regular basis. Our son Eli thinks it's his place because it's got his name. Funny kid.

Monday's update on House Project

Ok, so here is Monday's update on the House Project........

House Project

Ok so we are in the process of building our house so I thought I would start to give you up dates......This next week or two there will be a lot of progress, but what you see in the pics below is what has been done in the last 5 weeks.....but seriously things are really going to start to move now so if you are at all interested keep coming back for a play by play or day to day update. Oh by the way are goal is to be in by November 1st......

Quality time

Besides the obvious what do you and your "HONEY" do to spend quality time together? Steve and I like to talk over Gobena coffee at night after the kids are in bed or rent a movie and watch it together. We are late night people so a couple of weeks ago we went to a midnight showing of "BATMAN" while my parents watched the kids, well actually my parents and all the kids were sleeping. I would LOVE to have some new ideas so what do you do?

Steve I LOVE YOU....YOU are my best friend and I LOVE spending time with you. Thanks for being an AWESOME husband and father and friend.
